First let me start off by saying I am dropping the pounds and feel great. My experience going to Mexico for this surgery was a bit scary though. I had questions before and after my surgery but the communication barer made it hard for each of us to understand each other. I was in a lot of pain after the surgery which was to be expected but it wasn't till my last night there they actual offered me some morphine for my pain. I'm like really? The nursing staff was nice however they played music and would be loud or laying their heads down at the nurses station. Rarely did any of them come in my room to ask how I'm doing or if I needed anything. After surgery you can have broth,water/ice cube or popsicles. Wouldn't you know that most the time they wouldn't have one or the other to offer. They kicked all the patients out at 6:00 am even if some of us had flights that evening. I was in a lot of pain after a week of my surgery. Then my stitches opened up and an infection starting pouring out my stomach. Went to the dr immediately to find out I have a staff infection. I am better now thanks to my dr here in the states. Just some things to consider when deciding on going to Mexico to save some money.
