For anyone who is seeking Gastric surgery, I would highly recommend WeightLossAgents. The representatives were informative, helpful, and organized. They contacted me at each milestone to make sure that I was following along the diet guidelines and to answer any questions that I or my spouse might have prior to my trip/surgery. I can't speak highly enough of Dr. Almanza and his team. We were thrilled with the nursing staff at the hotel and the staff at the hotel is fantastic. The hospital is 3 blocks from the hotel and they will shuttle surgery patient guests back to the hotel. The rooms were very clean and nice. There was one tv channel in English. The most difficult aspect to the trip was that the WIFI is not strong and cell phone calls get dropped quite a bit. We learned from another guest that they purchased a pre-paid TracFone that would allow for better cell phone connections and they purchased a calling card. Patients and guests should remember to contact their banks to let them know that they will be traveling to Mexico. The chicken broth at the hotel was delicious and they provided plenty of ice pops, jello, and apple juice. My spouse loved the food at the restaurant. You can put a credit card on file at the front desk and charge your guest's meal to your room. (Please note that all tipping is much more appreciated in U.S. Dollars because of how the establishments take a portion of tips charged with credit cards). Because the process does not include the U.S. required psychological counseling, make sure you and your family do a lot of reading about how the surgery will effect you and your families life, both physically and emotionally. Read and stick to the directions given to you by both the WeightLossAgents and the Nurses at the hotel. If you will be traveling long distance by air and can afford first-class, it would also be recommended as it allows for stretching and movement after surgery. Airline attendants will also put any luggage items in overhead for you. It is also good to keep your doctor's in your plans because you will normally schedule to have them remove the stitches and refer to them if there is anything medically needed once you returned home. WeightLossAgents was a great option for me my insurance would not pay for the surgery. Dr. Almanza performs this surgery routinely while still taking you and your needs individually. Again, can't say enough about our agents, doctors, nursing staff, drivers, hotel staff, and servers.
