surgery outside of the United States was an amazing journey. After extensive research on the different types of bariatric surgeries, I decided the gastric sleeve was the best option for me. While doing research, I noticed that traveling to Mexico for bariatric surgery was quite common and very affordable.
When I discovered my health insurance did not cover weight-loss surgery; I decided to reach out to several of the bariatric surgery facilities in Mexico. The responses from the Jerusalem Clinic's patient liaison were comprehensive and nurturing; and part of the reason I chose Dr. Almanza as my surgeon.
I made the decision to travel to Mexico alone…yet somehow never felt alone the entire trip.
The staff at the Jerusalem Clinic is very professional and informative; they are experts of bariatric surgery. Dr. Almanza is a great surgeon: he had gastric sleeve surgery and understands the experience.
The 24/7 nursing staff and level of care at the recovery house exceeded my expectations.
