I did a great deal of research to find an affordable location within the U.S. for the procedure and was given the recommendation to check out Weight Loss agents. This worked out very well and I was given lots of materials to read about the procedure and help with scheduling.
I gathered all the paperwork , got the pre-surgery testing done and was thrilled that I could schedule my surgery within a month. We got plane and hotel reservations in the area and even enjoyed some sightseeing before my hospital stay. My pre-surgery phone calls with Dr. Choi were very reassuring.
I don't know where to begin to describe how excellent the care has been by Dr. Michael Choi, his surgical team and the staff at Larkin Hospital. Dr. Choi contines to check in with me to see how I am doing. Dr. Choi's track record and patient recommendations are exemplary. I cannot beleive that I even have his cell phone number and feel that I could call him anytime. I felt that my recovery was well monitored and I was in such a good location if anything had not gone well. We went back to the Hotel for a couple of days before flying home.
My small incisions are healing up and apart from a few days with soreness and discomfort I feel 10 times better already.
It amazes me that I am satisfied with just a few bites as my stomach was like a bottomless pit and I was never satisfied before.
I am still eating soft food and cooked vegetables which I tolerate well. I had a rotten experience with some asparagus and will not be trying that again for a while (like a cat with a hair ball).
There are other small improvements I can see already. My skin tone is better, my ankles are not swollen, my bladder must have more room as I no longer have that gotta go,gotta go problem. I can't wait for my next physical and blood work as I bet there will be improvements as I was showing pre-diabetic symptoms before.
I still have a long road ahead. I still love a few treats but just a spoonful for a taste is plenty. This does not sound like me at all! I love to walk and I am back gardening again already.
I'm excites for what lies ahead and am so glad I made the deicision to make a u-turn with my health.
