I have a child on the way and knew it was time to do something about my obesity. Since I turned thirty, I have gained weight steadily. Over the years, I would lose 10 to 20 lbs here and there but always gain it back plus some. I did not have the energy to go to the gym and workout, and my portion sizes got larger and larger. Since the surgery, I do not feel myself being hungry nor do I overeat at every meal. I still enjoy eating out with my friend, family and wife but simply consume less - which I actually prefer. Now, I do not leave the table over stuffed but I enjoy meals more for their flavor because the eating pace is significantly less. So far I have lost roughly 35lbs and it has been almost one month since the procedure.

The procedure went very well, my downtime was a few days - but I took a week off of work to be on the safe side. My body felt really strong and healthy, but I did not push it (e.g. lifting heavy items etc). Dr. Choi and his staff were very supportive, available and conscientious about my health. Larkin is where the procedure was done, and it is very clean and nice. The staff is attentive and professional. Overall, I consider this to be a success and life changing. I would recommend it for anyone who battles morbid obesity. If you want live longer and feel better - today is the day for change! The cost is very small when you consider the benefit. Heck, over the first year of less food and less expensive dinners it will almost pay for itself...not to mention the cost savings for doctor bills.
