Hello there. I had my gastric sleeve surgery on 01/22/16. I am a 43 y/o Emergency Department RN who works night shift. I have a 10 month old Grandbaby who was my catalyst to get this surgery. I want to be able to be active with her and any future grandbabies that I might have for years to come. I will be 7 weeks out from surgery on Friday 03/11/16 and as of today I am down 50 pounds. I am not going to say that this has been easy or painless. It has been difficult to get onto a successful eating schedule when half of my week I am a normal daytime person and the other half I am up all night long and sleeping through the day. I struggle with not having as much energy as I used to but I believe that is because of my decreased calorie intake. After losing my first 30 pounds, I noticed a wonderful difference in being able to move more easily, get on the ground to play with my grandbaby and just in the way all of my clothes were fitting. No this hasn't been easy thus far. It is a real adjustment. But I would do it over again in a second and I figure that I'm only about 35% to my goal weight. The experience in Mexico with the staff and accomodations were very, very good. Better than we were expecting. I'm very grateful for the oppertunity to have done this. Good luck to everyone.
