From the moment i contacted the patient faciliator to get more information about the procedure and the hospital, until today they have always taken my calls and answered my questions. I must admit I was skeptical about going out of the country to have surgery. Will they have the same hospital standards as the US, will the doctors and nurses speak english, will something go wrong? Trust me I had all these questions and a list of others. But the patient facilitor reassured me of all the doubts i had. I am sooo glad she did.
I paid my money via paypal, got my surgery date and made my airplane reservations. From the moment the Jerusalem hospital driver picked me and my quest up from the airport they were very professional and attentative. We got preped for surgery and the staff went as far as to feed all the guest of patients having surgery that day dinner. The patients and the guest of patients are taken very good care of.
After surgery, the nurses check on you every hour or so during the night. Just like they do here in the states. I had NO Complications at all and have lost 47 pounds in just over 2 months. My life has changed forever.
I would say to you don't be afraid, ask any questions that you can think of and don't fear. Mexico has the same, if not better standards for hospital care as we do. Just go for it, do it and get your life back like i did.
