I like to take a moment to detail my experience at this hospital at Tijuana. After landing at San Diego, I made a phone call and my ride was there is less than 15 mins. I was nervous along the way to Tijuana. The driver was friendly and we had a good chat. When I arrived at the Hosptial, I was pleasantly surprised at the facility. It was a clean and nice ambience with a good view of Tijuana. After smooth check in, the staff did some prelimary bloodwork and got me settled in a single occupancy room with an attached bath.
The next morning I prepped for the surgery. Dr. Almanza spoke to us about the procedure and what to expect. The moment I saw this man, my fears were gone. I knew right away I was in good hands.
The 24 hours after surgery is not a very pleasant experience. You will experience lots of discomfort. Take the hosptial advise and walk and walk and walk and walk. That is the only way you will recover faster.
The Post operative care was standard and staff took good care.
I felt a little better after 24 hours, a lot better after 48 hours and will plenty of walking I was able to be ready to get back home after 72 hours.
Here are some recommendations:
You can do this alone, but I would recommend that you bring a family member or a friend along.
Download plenty of Netflix and Prime to keep yourself busy. Bring your music along.
Please bring loose and comfortable clothing. The room gets cold with airconditioning.
