Hooch & Sleeve are cover bands? What is a cover band?

A cover band performs popular hits from famous bands at your party. You know the songs, so you have more fun singing, and dancing to them.

What types of bands does Hooch & Sleeve cover??

Hooch covers primarily rock, dance, funk, and pop bands from the 60's, 70's, 80's, and 90's. Classic rock, KROQ, Alternative, Etc. Charles plays guitar, bass, and keyboards, so we can vary the tunes a lot.

What kinds of events does Hooch & Sleeve perform?

Hooch performs private parties, weddings, clubs, etc. Indoors, or outdoors, if you have an event, we can play it.

How long has Hooch & Sleeve been performing?

Since 1999. We have never missed a show.

How long are Hooch & Sleeve shows?

Generally shows are 3-4 hours (3 hours minimum). We can and do play longer than 4 hours on occasion.

Do you have special effects?

Yes, we have a full effects light show, and large fog machine that really tricks out your dance floor. Guests with epilepsy, should not watch the light show.

How much do you charge for a show?

It depends on many factors. If you Click Here it will take you to a show info form. Fill that out, and once you send it, we will reply with a quote within a day or two.

Where are you located, and how far will you travel for a show?

We are in the orange county area of southern california, and we generally travel up to 100 miles for a show. We will bid on shows outside that range though, so give it a try.

What happens if it rains on the show date?

We can play indoors if it rains, or Charles can perform acoustic medleys on his guitar. We do recommend that a 10' x 10' pop-up tent is setup by the private party if inclement weather is likely. We have performed under tents in the past.

Do you need a stage to perform?

Although stages are very cool, and we appreciate it when a party provides one, we don't require one. We generally need a 10' x 10' flat area to setup with at least one electric outlet to plug into. This can be from an extension cord. Also, the auto sprinklers must be turned off for safety.

Is your band really loud?

We are a live band, and we get fairly loud, but not ear piercing. If noise complaints from neighbors becomes an issue, we can play indoors, or acoustically to remedy the situation. Usually, things go fine.

What does your wedding package include?

We can modify a wedding performance per the wedding party's instructions. Usually, a wedding consists of an hour of background love songs on Piano by Charles. We can also perform a "First Dance" song for the bride and groom. We then follow with full band performance for the remainder of the evening consisting of rock and dance. We can also play CD's on our P.A. system. We have a dual deck CD player that can be used for wedding marches, etc.

Do you take requests?

Yes. If we know the tune, we will play it for you. We know a lot of music, although we are human. We do not know every song ever written, nor does any other cover band. We always aim to please.

Can you play CD's?

Yes, we have a DJ quality double-deck CD player on our P.A. system. We can play requests, and also keep the dance party going between band sets.

How do we book your band?

After you have sent your information to us Click Here To Send Your Info (including phone number), we will respond by E-mail with a price quote. If you want to hire the band after you've received the price quote, let us know again by E-mail. The band will call to confirm details. Once a deposit check has been received, and cashed to confirm the booking, a performance agreement will be mailed to the client. When the date arrives, we will be there. We have never missed a show.

What is the history of Sleeve?

Sleeve has an original project led by Wayne. Two albums have been released as Sleeve, and many shows have been played under the name. Sleeve is also a cover band that throws in a few originals now and then.

Who are Mike Hulo, Pete O'grande, Santiago Elamour, and Buck Trojan?

It is a phenomenon that is mysterious, and difficult to explain. Usually you have to be a musician, or a fan that has witnessed the live spectacle to understand the power, the majesty, and the stupidity. Seriously though, we thought stage names would be cool.
